Oct. 26, 2011 – This Week in Membership
The membership drive ended about 3 weeks ago. In some ways it feels like it ended months ago and in other ways it feels like yesterday was our last morning. During the membership drive, Kim, Kayla and I work a lot more hours than normal. During those weeks, we are very grateful that we only have 2 membership drives per year! The work is quite rewarding. We get to read all of the comments that are made to volunteers and online. I feel lucky during every single drive that I work for an organization where people call and praise the work that we are doing.
We have ordered all of the thank you gifts. We wait until after the membership drive ends to do our ordering so we don’t end up with a lot of extra stock. The mugs, T-shirts, CDs and USB drives are in production. The reusable grocery bags for sustainers should be here soon. The Steve Inskeep books will also arrive soon. We will be mailing those out as quickly as we can.
Also, all of the drawing winners have been notified. Most of them were contacted by Oct. 19. A few people did not get back in touch with us so we had to draw again.
I’ll stay in touch as we begin shipping thank you gifts.
