Friday Podcast 10/7/11
Hey, what’s this? A podcast? Fantastic! Let’s take a look inside, shall we?
Looks like we’ve got four delightful pieces of radio for you and your ears today, starting off with Snowbird Etiquette, a look at the many retirees who travel south every winter to avoid those frigid northern temperatures. This one comes our way from producer Susan Gray.
We’ll pause just long enough for host Hawk Mendenhall to mock producer Mike Lee for never wearing shorts to work (this is true about Mike, by the way. The man always wears long pants to the office. Occasionally he’ll wear jeans with holes in them, though, so if you’re aiming to get a look at his knees, there’s hope for you yet) and then we’re off to the land of Clever Apes, for an episode called Deep Listening. We recommend listening deeply to it.
Then it’s the latest from essayist Angus Stocking and his show Belief Systems and Other B.S. This week Angus brings us “Death and Religion.”
We’ll close things out with Jake Warga’s Wallkthrough Haunted House. We love Jake, especially when he’s in or near a haunted house.
