What We’re Watching: Intel Visual Life

September 19, 2011 12:29 pm by: Rebecca McInroy

Michael Franti and his band Spearhead were back in Austin last week to open for Carlos Santana at two sold out shows at the Moody Theater downtown. Michael and his band mixed rock with reggae, soul, funk, big yellow balloons and limitless energy to deliver socially relevant messages while thoroughly entertaining the crowd.

A KUT favorite, (he’s been in studio 1A twice before), Franti has transformed himself over the years from a self-described “rebel rocker” to one of the more positive and conscious artists in music today. In this Intel Visual Life documentary, Michael Franti shares his love of connecting with people and describes how technology helps him do that. Feel free to tap your toes and bob your head while you enjoy What We’re Watching.
