HAAM Benefit Day 2011 – Tuesday, October 4th
HAAM Benefit Day, presented by Whole Foods Market, is a uniquely Austin event where businesses donate 5% of the day’s proceeds to HAAM to support musicians’ health. Musicians, most of whom are HAAM members, perform throughout the day at retail stores, outside stages, music venues and more. The event runs from 6am to well past midnight and community members are invited to shop, eat out, listen to great live music and enjoy!
HAAM uses more than 150 volunteers from the community to staff information tables at the businesses during the musical performances. The volunteer informs the public about HAAM, our mission, and why we need their support. Volunteers collect donations and pass out information. Volunteers will be required to attend one of two orientation sessions a few days before HAAM Benefit Day.
