Last year was a biggie for Quiet Company. Non-stop attention and accolades were pouring in from several directions.
The Austin-based indie pop quintet’s self-produced EP, Songs For Staying In, got them not only new fans and more radio play, but also led to the use of their music on nationally-known television shows, a taping for ACL Presents Satellite Sets, and opening slots on tours with The Toadies and Rooney. However, being the incredibly productive band that they are (seriously…I wonder if these guys ever sleep), they didn’t rest on their laurels. They were already working on their album, We Are All Where We Belong, another pop gem filled with killer hooks, dramatic surges and fantastic vocals courtesy of frontman Taylor Muse. It sounds as though they’ve got another winner on their hands.
They’re about to release their new full-length with a fabulous album release party Friday night at The ND, located at 501 1-35 (the entrance is located at 5th St. and Brushy). The festivities will include performances by Saints of Valory, Whitman and Black Books. Doors open at 8 p.m. Recommended.
