Meshell Ndegeocello Live in Studio 1A

September 30, 2011 5:00 am by: Reid O'Conor

If you don’t think you’ve heard a song by singer/songwriter/rapper/bassist Meshell Ndegeocello, it’s likely that you’re wrong. Her songs have been featured in more than a dozen film soundtracks and she’s been nominated for ten Grammys throughout her career. Her music is tough to pin down to a single genre, as she does pretty much all of them: rock, hip-hop, jazz, R&B, funk, rap, soul– it’s likely that she’s done it before or will be doing it very soon. Ahead of her new album coming out November 8th, Meshell Ndegeocello will be playing a show tonight at the One World Theatre. Also, Ndegeocello swung by Studio 1A to chat with Jody Denberg and play a live set for KUT, which you can take a listen to below.
