Listen, folks, we know you’re busy people. We know you’re all planning ways to sneak out of the office and go down to Zilker park right now. And that’s cool; we’re not trying to take over your whole weekend or anything. We’re just offering you a little something to listen to on the way over to ACL. You don’t want to listen to music now and get all burned out before going to the big rock show. You really want to listen to some quality independent radio production to cleanse the palate so that all that live music sounds even more delicious when you hear it later.

We’ve got part three of Destination DIY‘s “Doing it Ourselves” episode, which features a story about collective nouns (a shrewdness of apes, anyone?); avisit to an underground all-ages music venue in New York City; and more!

We’ll hear the latest commentary from O’Dark regular Angus Stocking on his show Belief Systems and Other B.S.

And last but not least, Jake Warga brings us Tasmanian Devil on the Brink of Extinction. If you’re anything like us, the bulk of your knowledge about the Tasmanian Devil comes from Looney Tunes cartoons (and possibly from a denim varsity jacket with the character’s image embroidered on the back, which your aunt gave you for Christmas in 1996 and which you only wore once because all your friends made fun of you). If that’s the case, you are woefully ill-informed about this creature, and you should listen to this podcast as soon as possible to educate yourself.
