ACL Photos: KUT Live Showcase at the Four Seasons

For those expecting a weekend in Zilker Park marked by hellish heat, long lines waiting for buses, choking clouds of dust or puddles of dillo dirt: we regret to report that based on our conversations, the 10th iteration of the Austin City Limits Music Festival will not be remembered for anything more dramatic than remarkable music. And the all too brief appearance of something known in other parts of the world as “rain.”
On Friday, Kevin Connor was on the lawn of Austin’s Four Seasons Hotel to KUT kick off ACL Fest in style. There was live music by Charles Bradley, Hayes Carll, Ha Ha Tonka and the North Mississippi Allstars–plus gourmet breakfast tacos and coffee. The showcase had a suggested donation of $10 to support the Seton Shivers Cancer Center. It was great music for a great cause. We took a few photos from the event, check them out!
