Hello, good people of computerland. Thanks for dropping by on this sizzling hot August day. Since interweb technology doesn’t yet allow us to offer you an ice cold lemonade, we offer you instead this delightful podcast.
We’ll kick things off with It’s Pizza Time, a little slice (pun intended!) of life piece from producer Alex Malmude. We’ll follow along with Tom the pizza guy of Pizza Time in Portland, Maine, as he goes about his appointed rounds. Fair warning: Tom uses a bit of salty language in this piece, and while we’ve bleeped the absolutely saltiest of the language, we’ve also left in some moderately salty stuff.
Then we’ll bring you the first installment of a new radio show we’ve found called Let’s Be Self Sufficient, which is a great and odd little nugget that also hails from up Maine way. This edition of the show chronicles a short-lived, one-sided prank war that doesn’t really take off until the pranksters invent Mini Toast Weekly. That’s when things get interesting.
But it doesn’t end there! We’ll wrap things up with The Theremin: More Than a Musical Gimmick, a fascinating look at this unusual musical instrument.
