5. Suzanna Choffel, Steady Eye Shaky Bow

Austin crooner Suzanna Choffel is at number five this week with her most recent album Steady Eye Shaky Bow. Last week she had the honor of opening up for Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club at ACL Live at The Moody Theater.

4. Sarah Jarosz, Follow Me Down

Sarah Jarosz is back on our list after an absence last week. Her sophomore album, Follow Me Down, has had a steady run all summer.

3. Guy Clark, Songs and Stories

Songwriting legend Guy Clark joins our list this week in the number three position. His most recent release, Songs and Stories, is just the second live album that Clark has put out in his whole career. Recorded at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville, this 23-track album is a mix of Clark’s classics and the stories behind the songs.

2. Bob Schneider, A Perfect Day

Bob Schneider is at number two on our list this week with his latest album, A Perfect Day. You can catch him most Monday nights at his residency at Saxon Pub.

1. Gary Clark Jr., The Bright Lights EP

Austin’s own Gary Clark Jr. is in the number one spot this week with The Bright Lights EP. He’ll be representing the hometown team when he takes the ACL Festival stage in just a few weeks. In 2001, when Clark was just 17, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson declared May 3rd to be “Gary Clark Jr. Day.” This blues prodigy started out at Antone’s and blends his heavy blues influences with his love of classic hip hop.
