In just a few short years California based songstress Lex Land has gone from college dropout to rising star in the folk music scene. After studying voice for most of her teenage years Lex decided to pursue singing in college but the draw of the stage and the local music scene proved to be too much her. Lex’s beat heavy brand of folk music and soulful voice make comparisons difficult so just imagine a Norah Jones/Joss Stone hybrid and you might begin to get an idea of her unique style. Both comfortingly familiar and surprisingly fresh at the same time. You can hear Lex Land when she performs live in Studio 1a for KUT host Jay Trachtenberg. Listen to here set right here!
