Austin Issued Heat Advisory

Another heat advisory is in effect for South Central Texas from 12 p.m. today to Thursday evening. According to the National Weather Service, afternoon and early evening heat indices could rise to or exceed 105 degrees. Temperatures are also expected to reach record highs.

Vaccine Now A Must For College Students

Classes will start soon and students entering their first year of college should make sure they’re up-to-date on vaccinations. The state of Texas requires all students before their first year of college to be vaccinated against meningitis. KERA’s BJ Austin has more in the morning newspod.
