In San Antonio, state leaders and bureaucrats from all over the country are gathering at a conference. One of the themes there is how the federal budget cuts will trickle down to their own individual state budgets. KUT’s Ben Philpott reports.

Two City Measures to Address Downtown Metered Parking

Two City Council Members, Mike Martinez and Laura Morrison, will present their own measures to deal with downtown extended metered parking in Austin. One would delay, the other would move forward but give drivers help to find parking options. KUT’s Matt Largey sits down with the two of them.

The up-and-down nature of the stock market this week has made people who have retirement accounts uneasy. Jill Ament reports finance coaches say this should be a wake up call for Americans that don’t save enough for retirements and unexpected times.
