Downtown Parking Rules Postponed

When the city of Austin asked residents if they wanted to pay for downtown parking in the evenings and on weekends, a majority of the feedback was against the idea. The city went ahead and extended downtown metered parking hours anyway. Well, that vote may not have been the end of the downtown parking debate.

ERCOT Power Struggle

Texas set ANOTHER all-time record for power use yesterday – topping both Monday and Tuesday’s record breaking demands. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas – or ERCOT – was forced to declare a power emergency for the second day in a row. So why is the state’s power grid struggling to keep up with the heat.
