UT Austin Back in Session
Expect more traffic- and fewer parking spots- near the UT Austin campus. The fall semester for UT students starts Wednesday. Concordia University also starts classes Wed. St Edward’s University is holding freshman orientation Wed and Thursday.

Demand is high these days for students with degrees in petroleum engineering. These students make some of the highest starting salaries of graduates in any field, according to a recent survey. That story on today’s podcast.
South Austin Wastewater Treatment Plant Back Online
The Austin Water Utility is still asking people downstream of the Colorado River, near the airport, to stay away from the water. 300,000 gallons of possibly untreated wastewater entered the river Tuesday. The South Austin Regional treatment plant went back online Tuesday night after being shut down because of a chlorine leak. Residents with private wells within two miles of the river near the airport should boil their water.
