We all know fashion designers often look to past styles to inspire their new designs. The same goes for Sallie Ford and her band The Sound Outside. Caught somewhere between jazzy crooners like Tom Waits and the skiffle and blues rhythms of early Rock N’ Rollers like Lonnie Donegan. Sallie Ford’s music resides in some alternate universe where old is new and new is made to sound old. Lending to her authentic charm is the equally impressive time traveling skills of her bandmates guitarist Jeffery Munger, drummer Ford Tennis, and bassist Tyler Tornfelt. Together they make some truly unique music. Her new self titled album is full of gems and you shouldn’t miss the chance to hear some of the new tunes when she stops by Studio 1a. Listen RIGHT HERE!
