Making Austin More Sustainable

Austin’s city government makes no secret about the fact that it wants its citizens to help make Austin known as a top sustainable city. But what is “sustainable?” Is it recycling with zero waste? Is it specific rebates for home improvement? Or something else?

In this week’s segment of “Changing Austin,” KUT’s Emily Donahue and Larry Schooler, community engagement consultant for the City of Austin, discuss what makes sustainability work and how Austinites can join in the sustainability conversation is headed on SpeakUpAustin.org.
