On this edition of In Black America, producer/host John L. Hanson Jr. speaks with LaMonica Davis, president and CEO of Miracle on 16th Street. For a number of years, Davis crocheted for the love of the craft, and like many others who are passionate about Crocheting; she found this craft to be very therapeutic. It allows her to relax and focus on nothing but the projects. Her family and friends loved the one-of-a-kind items she produced and waited anxiously for the new releases. They continued to encourage her to share her special creative gift with others.

When she begins making a scarf, she never knows what it’s going to look like. She actually designs and chooses the colors as she goes along. Her main interest is in coming up with unique color combinations. For her, even when sometimes using a simple stitch pattern, the right color combination alone can make the scarf amazing!
