Cowboy and Indian are little more than a year old and already seem to be evolving into one of Austin’s most promising young groups. Made up of Jazz Mills (former T-Bird and the Breaks backup singer), Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights character Landy Clarke), and guitarist Daniel James, Cowboy and Indian blend jangly folk-rock with country motifs to create their own unique brand sound. Their songs feel like a fun summer night that you don’t want to end. Lighthearted, catchy, and clever. All the things you expect from a good Austin band.
