The Krayolas were just teenagers when they recorded their first vinyl record. That was thirty years ago, and yet the band continues to rock out. By combining their love of rock ‘n’ roll and their hometown roots, the Krayolas have been hailed as the Tex-Mex Beatles. Their newest album Tipsy, Topsy, Turvy goes back to the basics with an old school ’60s sound – genuine rock and roll. There’s a definite San Antonio connection on this latest record, as lead-singer Hector Saldana sings the Spanish lyrics to the politically charged ’1070 (I’m Your Dirty Mexican)’. The Krayolas will be at Gruene Hall Sunday, June 12th and at The Continental Club June 23rd. Listen to their live performance in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE!!!
