Adrian Quesada is definitely a familiar face here at KUT. He probably has more bands and side projects than any musician we’ve met, but his partnership with Martin Perna in Ocote Soul Sounds is defenitely one of the most interesting. The duo call their sound tropical/funk and like all of Adrian’s projects getting people to dance is the name of the game. Ocote Soul Sounds differs from his other projects in their use of computers and looping machines to create some beat heavy Latin jams. The group has a new album out named Taurus. You can catch Ocote Soul Sounds a few times in the next couple of weeks including performances at Waterloo Records and Flamingo Cantina Tuesday June 7th.
