Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt Perform Tuesday and Wednesday Night at The Paramount Theater

Here is the formula for the perfect dream gig:  Two incredibly talented, much-admired songwriters performing together in a very casual, laid-back setting. Nothing fancy. Just guitars, singing, and sincere conversation.

It’s an environment that Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt seem to thrive in. Both have teamed up for a handful of tour dates this summer, wowing audiences with amazing acoustic sets and alternating songs with great stories. The performances are unscripted, and Lovett and Hiatt don’t discuss what they’re going to play beforehand.

They’ve got two shows scheduled in Austin this week. They play Tuesday and Wednesday night, 8 p.m., at the Paramount Theater, 713 Congress Ave. This is a guaranteed fantastic time. Recommended.
