As solo artists, they’re legends of Texas music: Butch Hancock, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Joe Ely. But when they share the stage, they are a musical entity that’s both not quite a band and yet somehow something bigger – The Flatlanders.

What you’re about to hear took place on April 29th 2011 in historic Studio 6A – the original home of Austin City Limits. The audience consisted of about 300 of KUT’s best friends. And on stage as the evening’s host, Austin radio veteran Jody Denberg.
