Two songwriting legends for the price of one! Limited time only!!! KUT is proud to welcome Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt to our studios in advance of their two night engagement at the Paramount Theatre Tuesday June 28th and Wednesday June 29th at 8pm. Trying to describe Lyle Lovett is like trying to tell someone what it means to be Texan. Both are indefinable but instantly recognizable. From the front porch he shared with Robert Earl Keen in college to the arenas he filled with his Big Band, Lyle Lovettt consistently captures the spirit of Texas in his songs. His partner in crime this go round is none other than songwriting extraordinaire John Hiatt. If you need to check his references just call up Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Joan Baez, Jimmy Buffett, Iggy Pop, Emmylou Harris, Jewel, Joe Cocker or any of the dozens of the other musicians that have recorded his songs. These two on stage together is a recipe for a memorable night of music. Check out Austin Music Minute for details on their show at the Paramount. Get a taste of the magic when the duo land in our studios Tuesday June 28th at 2p with host Jody Denberg.
