You might know James Wesley Voight better by his stage name – Chip Taylor. You know, the guy who gained worldwide fame with his hit song “Wild Thing” over forty years ago. You may not be as familiar with Kendel Carson, the 26 year old country/folk fiddler with a passion for belting her songs to who ever will listen. When these two met, neither saw what lay ahead – the perfect combination of road worn rock-n-roll balladeer and eager voice with a rambunctious fiddle. Carson and Taylor recently released their first collaboration Rock n Roll Joe: A Tribute to the Unsung Heroes of Rock N Roll.
The album tells the heart-felt stories of drive and dedication of average Joes around the world. You can see Taylor and Carson perform at the Cactus Cafe June 1st. If you missed the show you can listen to our exclusive session with Chip Taylor and Kendel Carson in Studio 1a.
