Afie Jurvanen is the face behind Bahamas. Well, Bahamas the band that is. He’s actually from Canada. Still with me? Jurvanen writes and records under the name Bahamas. His LP Pink Strat was originally released in Canada back in 2009, but Brushfire Records has released it stateside this year. He’s spent the last few years playing with popular Canadian bands Feist, Jason Collett, and Howie Beck. His solo-debut features a romantic brand of folk-rock that fits in with it’s spring release in the states. Bahamas is currently on tour with Noah and The Whale.
