Around Town: Wellesley Widows at the Texas State Capitol

On Saturday May 21, 2011 the rotunda of the Texas State Capitol was filled with both the sounds of shouts against cutting funding for education as well as the angelic voices of the Wellesley Widows, a thirteen voice a capella singing group. The ladies, who were in town as part of their tour of Texas, had stopped by KUT’s Studio 1A to record a session live with John Aielli earlier in the week; but we couldn’t get enough.
