Los Angeles duo The Submarines came together in 2004 after being introduced through a mutual friend. If that kind of sounds like a cliche beginning to a romantic relationship, you’d be right: The Submarines are a husband and wife duo. The bond between the two can be heard in their thoughtful and fun pop songs with a dash of electronica thrown in. Their fifth studio album was released earlier this year.
