Swedish indie rock band Junip have been together since 1998, but didn’t release a full length album until fall of last year. The blame for the delay of their first album falls squarely on lead singer José González’s shoulders, who was busy having a quite successful solo career. The album has flourished from the long gestation period, with a psych-tinged sound and influences from González’s earthy solo work. Junip will play on Tuesday May 10th at the Mohawk.
