Austin natives The Octopus Project have been actively creating and performing their unique brand of electronic indie pop for the past 12 years, growing and changing along the way. The band has released a total of 4 albums and a handful of EPs, singles and remixes, each earning its share of acclaim and fan response. At last year’s SXSW, the band put together an extensive multi-media performance involving the band being surrounded by 8 speakers and 8 projectors playing video on the ceiling of the tent. The music they preformed became their fourth studio album, Hexadecagon. The Octopus Project will play at Clusterfest on Friday at Southwestern University, and you can hear them live from Studio 1a tonight with host Matt Reilly.
