Brothers Sergio and Odair Assad were brought up in a very musical family in São Paulo, Brazil. Today they are guitar virtuosos, spending their time touring the world and earning Grammy nominations. Their latest tour is called De Volta As Raizes, which translates to “Back to our Roots,” an apt title for a tour focusing on music based on their Lebanese heritage. The Assads have a concert Wednesday night at Hogg Memorial Auditorium, and you can learn more and hear them play live when they join host John Aielli in Studio 1a.
