Patrick Sweany’s last two albums were produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, and in the past Sweany has opened for the band. Now, it’s narrow-minded to assume that everyone from Ohio knows each other, but the fact that Patrick Sweany is tight with The Black Keys leads me to believe that it just might be the case. In all likelihood, it’s probably the fact that both artists play some great blues-country-rock hybrid music that brought them together, but it’s fun to imagine that there’s something like an “Ohio Cool Musician Club.” Patrick Sweany plays on Saturday at Lamberts, and you can hear him right here in Studio 1a with host Jay Trachtenberg.
