Texas A&M Takes Home NCAA Championship Title

Aggie fans are celebrating their first NCAA women’s basketball championship. In the final game that kept fans at the edge of their seats, the Aggies beat Notre Dame 76-70 Tuesday night. Senior forward/center Danielle Adams ruled the court scoring 30 points and pulling her team to a victory after a back-and-forth game.

Coach Gary Blair and his team will be welcomed home with a celebration at Reed Arena in College Station Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.

Leander Deals with High School Death

Leander High School students are coping with the loss of a fellow student who took her life on Monday at school. As KUT’s Gretch Sanders reports, the suicide has sent shock waves throughout the Leander School District. Extra counselors are on hand this week as the school tries to deal with another high school student who died over the weekend.

New City Website: SpeakUpAustin.org

The City of Austin is launching a new website they hope you’ll use to voice your concerns. It’s SpeakUpAustin.org . The ideas posted on the site will go to the department to which it applies. The department will come up with a response and post it back to the person who made the suggestion. Listen to today’s pod for more on the new site.
