April 8, 2011 – This Week in Membership
We received an e-mail earlier this week from a listener asking why it takes so long to receive a thank you gift. I guess the best and quickest answer is that it takes awhile because at KUT we do not order thank you gifts until after the Membership Drive ends. Typically, our drive ends on a Wednesday. By Friday, I order thank you gifts from the vendors we have chosen. The design is all ready settled so all the vendor is waiting on is numbers from me. Once I place the order it takes a bit of time to get the products manufactured. Then, the products go to our mailing house where they order packaging and then place the items into the appropriate envelope or box. The items are sent to the post office where they are processed and shipped to you.
T-shirts were mailed on Wednesday and I’ve heard from a few of you who have received your shirt. It took about 4 weeks from order date to in house date.
Where are the other gifts you might ask? Well, CDs are at the mailing house being processed. I expect them to ship next week. Umbrellas are on their way from the manufacturer. Computer bags are still being produced by the vendor. And, people receiving Eco mugs will be hearing from us within the week. Hearts for Haiti are at the mailing house being processed.
