To call Portland septet Ages and Ages enthusiastic is a bit like calling Mount Everest “sort of tall.” That is to say, it is a gross understatement. Ages and Ages has become known for their unabashed joy and earnestness almost as much as they’re known for their melodic indie folk harmonies and sensibilities. Frontman Tim Perry set out to start a wildly enthusiastic group of musicians and has done so successfully. While in town Ages and Ages played at the Mohawk, and came to KUT’s Studio 1a for an exclusive performance with host Mat Reilly.
