Wil Cope and Jonathan Terrell Play Friday Night at the Cactus Cafe

Roots artist Wil Cope, the featured performer, released a great album he recorded last year, Sunset Craves, a collection of tracks that carry beautiful reflections of his travels and personal observations on life. His style has been compared to the likes of Neil Young, Gram Parsons and Townes Van Zandt.
Jonathan Terrell, who also serves as frontman for Austin band Not In the Face!, is another artist redefining the meaning of Texas music. The Longview-born musician started turning heads in Austin with his 2008 release, Trials and Stimulations, mixing country, folk and rock in the vein of Steve Earle.
Cope and Terrell perform acoustic sets Friday night, starting at 8:30 p.m., at the Cactus Cafe, located at 24th St. and Guadalupe in the Texas Union on the UT campus. You won’t be disappointed. Check ‘em out.
