The Frank Rec Room is a very fun weekly event I’ve reported on before, hosted by my colleagu, man-about-town and local music supporter Adi Anand (From the Mind of Adi at Transmission Entertainment). Let me assure you that this is the stuff rec room dreams are made of:  An impressive assortment of board games, classic video games, ninja rounds of hardcore ping pong (the players tend to get serious, you know), and screenings of TV shows that are now cult classics.

The Rec Room recently expanded to include – what else? – live music performances. This week’s headliner is Austin indie pop quintet The Sour Notes. You can see them play tonight at Frank, located at 4th and Colorado, downtown. Opening the show is electronic-ambient mystic music makes Mixed Use Media. Delish! A killer show, indeed. Get there around 9 p.m. for all the fun and festivities. Recommended.
