It was a case that made headlines back in 2008. Two young men from Midland, Texas – anarchists, they were called – accused of plotting to attack police at the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis.

David McKay and Bradley Crowder were charged with making Molotov cocktails.

The story has been played out again and again in the media.  But the new film “Better This World” draws a much more nuanced picture of the two perpetrators of the plot.

Co-directors Katie Galloway and Kelly Duane de la Vega joined KUT’s Matt Largey in the studio recently to talk about the film.

“Better This World” has one more showing during SXSW,  Friday, 2 p.m., at the Paramount Theater.
