The indie pop clan Eisley have come a long way since their humble beginnings as a family band performing in their parents’ coffee shop in Tyler, TX. Since the group’s formation in the late ’90′s, they have signed to major label Warner Brothers, toured with arena act Coldplay, developed a passionate fanbase, and released a string of acclaimed recordings.

Their latest album, The Valley (released March 1 on new label, Equal Vision Records), finds the band exploring darker territory. The group recently appeared in Studio 1A to perform material from their third LP and talk with host David Brown about the creative freedom of working with an indie label, the catharsis of creating their most autobiographical record to date, and the joys of starting over.
