SXSW 2011 Edition: One Pulse Artists showcase at Thunderbird & Art Disaster No. 12 at Beauty Bar Today

Wednesday is the official start of South By Southwest’s music portion, but the live music capital is already bursting with showcases early this week, and KUT’s Austin Music Minute has two sweet SXSW recommendations for you today.

First up is the One Pulse Artists showcase, starting this afternoon at the Eastside Thunderbird Coffee location, 2200 Manor Rd. The music begins at 2 p.m. A most impressive line-up:

3 pm – Cord Carpenter
3:30 pm – The Wealthy West

4:30 pm – The Soldier Thread

And tonight is Art Disaster No. 12, the twelfth edition of the bi-annual showcase presented by my colleague and creative design artist Daniel Perlaky of City On Fire, featuring eleven bands on two stages and DJs  at the Beauty Bar, 617 E. 7th St. Doors open at 8 p.m. Two stages with lots of bands and DJ sets:
