Hopefully, you’re recovering nicely from the organized chaos known as SXSW. Another year has come and gone, but , after all, this is the Live Music Capital of the World. The festivals may wrap up, but the music is always alive and well. So, enter the perfect remedy for recovering from a crazy week: Leo Rondeau. He’s that feller Down at the End of the Bar.

Originally from the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota, Rondeau now calls Austin, Texas his home. Both his 2007 debut, Bangs, Bullets and the Turtle Mountains, and 2009′s honky-tonk serenade Down at the End of the Bar, honor the traditional styles of country – simple melodies, storytelling and a drawl as long and wide as the Lone Star State, with just enough bluegrass and Americana to add the right touches.

You can see Leo Rondeau play tonight at the Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. His set starts at 10 p.m. Grab yourself a beer and settle in for a night of some of the best twang around. Be sure to tell him that Laurie sent you. Recommended.
