James Cotton and Shemekia Copeland Perform Friday at ACL Live

It’s a perfect pairing at ACL Live:  One great blues legend and one rising star. Grammy Award winner James Cotton will join Shemekia Copeland for a night of blues, funk and soul this Friday night. “Superharp” Cotton has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, the Smithsonian Institute and has performed with many blues and rock legends, including B.B. King, Johnny Winter, the Allman Brothers, Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin and many others.

Copeland has been blowing away fans and music critics with her incredible vocal ability. She’s opened for The Rolling Stones, headlined festivals around the world, including the Chicago Blues Festival, and has also performed alongside Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Taj Mahal and John Mayer.

This is a show that you won’t want to miss. Cotton and Copeland perform Friday at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, 310 W. Willie Nelson Blvd. in Downtown Austin. The show starts at 8 p.m. Recommended.
