International Waters Plays Wednesday Night at the Mohawk

International Waters, led by vocalist and guitarist Mitch Calvert (formerly of Voxtrot), is completing work on their upcoming debut full-length, 1994. It looks like June is the targeted release date, but if you’d like a little preview of things to come, the band’s posted a track that you can check out here.

It’s great melodic indie pop – they’ve even used the word “jangly” to describe it. Twee-ful jangle pop goodness with rather sweetly done vocals.

Check out International Waters at their show Wednesday at the Mohawk, 912 Red River. The bill includes Boy’s Life, Be My Baby Beats, and Light Me Up. Doors open at 9 p.m. Recommended.
