Dissimilar Illusions

March 4, 2011 2:42 pm by: Mike Lee

Photographers Matthew Fuller and Faustinus Deraet are good friends who approach their art in very different ways. Matthew creates carefully-crafted works in his home studio, while Faustinus has spent the last decade working almost exclusively with a plastic toy camera, never knowing exactly what his images will look like until they emerge in the darkroom. Their differing styles are on display now in their group show Dissimilar Illusions, currently running at the Davis Gallery.
