After Austin band The Weary Boys parted ways in 2007, guitarist Darren Hoff began to write songs on his own. In 2009 he recorded the songs and released an album with his band, The Hard Times. His sound has been praised for its combination roots rock and alt country vibe, and the album has been well received with fans and critics alike. Darren Hoff and the Hard Times will play at the Scoot Inn on Friday, April 1. Listen to their performance below.
