Band of Heathens in Studio 1a – Monday at 2pm
The story goes that Austin natives Band of Heathens became a band quite by accident. What started as separate sets at Momo’s slowly merged until they were consistently playing together. They eventually officially declared themselves a band and released two live recordings before releasing their first studio album in 2008. Their unique Americana sound and creativity have drawn critical praise and a loyal following both in Austin and around the country. Their Austin CD release party is on Tuesday night at Antone’s, you can hear them and learn more when they join KUT in Studio 1A on Monday at 2:00 PM.
