State of the State Wait

February 3, 2011 5:10 pm by: KUT Staff

The State of the State address is one of the pro forma features of the legislative session. The governor reports how the state’s doing to lawmakers, sets out the agenda he sees as important and ticks off his budget priorities for the coming biennium.

In this week’s “Texas Political Parlor,” KUT’s Ian Crawford and Jason Embry of the Austin American-Statesman discuss the coming address…and whether the intended audience for the speech will actually be in the room when it’s delivered.
