Honestly, what can one not say about Ian McLagan that will not leave one perfectly dazed in total admiration? Seriously. He’s played, recorded and toured with the best of the best: the Stones, Dylan, Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt…you get the picture. He’s made a powerful mark in musical history as a member of Small Faces and Faces, and as a solo artist, since the 1960’s. He can show you a thing or two about tickling the ivories, buddy.
You can usually catching McLagan rocking the house with the Bump Band. This time, he and the band are heating things up Tuesday night at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, for a special 2:59 Records showcase. The Culver City-based label represents McLagan and other fabulous Austin-based artists who will also perform at the Tuesday show – My Jerusalem, Dana Falconberry and Tom Ovans. Doors open at 8 p.m.
You wanna learn how to rock? Learn from a legend. Highly recommended. Love you, Mac.
