Alejandro Escovedo is a fixture in Texas music history, but that is not to say he is a fixture of any one genre. Across more than a dozen of his solo albums, he has played punk rock, Latin jazz, alternative country, and Americana to great success .

His most recent album, Street Songs of Love, brought Escovedo back to KUT’s studios earlier this month. Today’s Song of the Day, Chelsea Hotel, is from his most recent live performance in studio 1A. Enjoy.
