Now that almost 2/3 of the Texas House is Republican red, including picking up three seats in Central Texas, the GOP will have a tight grasp on the agenda of the 82nd Legislature in January. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that every piece of legislation has a pipeline directly to Governor Rick Perry’s desk.

KUT’s Ian Crawford and Jason Embry of the Austin American-Statesman discuss some of the potential pitfalls Republican might face on their way through the 140-day regular legislative session and beyond in this week’s “Texas Political Parlor.”
